Installation Instructions
- The Click2Fit Headrail may arrive installed on the product to protect both from damage during shipping. Remove the product from the headrail before installing the headrail in the window opening.
- Pull the lever and retract the boot end into the headrail.
- Hold the headrail up to the top of your window opening. The entire headrail should fit into the depth of the window opening, and the top of the headrail should fit flush to the top of the opening.
- While holding the headrail in place, firmly push up on the lever to secure it in place. You should hear a click to confirm it is locked and secure in the opening.
- Install the product onto the brackets that are attached to the Click2Fit headrail. The product's headrail may extend past the window opening after installation. This is common with products that have a cassette headrail, such as roller and dual/zebra shades.
See the guide below for visuals of the headrail, components, and installation process.
If The Headrail Will Not Stay Up After Installation
The external Click2Fit No-Drill Headrail has 2 "boot" ends that extend out to hold tension. One end is connected to the lever. The other end is adjustable to allow for some variance in width. Follow the steps below to adjust the non-lever end.
- Start with the product and the No-Drill headrail uninstalled. Remove the product from the No-Drill headrail.
- Turn the headrail upside down so you can see the lever and other internals. Focus on the non-lever end with 2 red raindrop-shaped pieces. This is the extension end that you'll adjust.
- Gently pull on the extension end so it extends out about 1/8", up to 3/8", depending on how much wider you need the headrail to be. For safety and stability, do not extend the end out more than 3/8". If you pull it out too far, use a flathead screwdriver to turn the red pieces inwards towards the metal tension piece. This will temporarily release the tension and allow you to push the end back into the headrail. See the diagrams below for reference.
- Reinstall the headrail into the window opening and check for stability before installing the product onto the headrail.
