Most of our products can be mounted from above, as inside-mounted styles are designed to attach to the top of the window opening. However, our mounting brackets and hardware are intended for wood framing around the window, so the surface and structure of the mounting area needs to be solid enough to support the weight of the product.
If your ceiling has texture, is a drop ceiling, or isn’t made from a strong material like wood, ceiling mounting may not be possible. If your ceiling is drywall, drywall anchors (not included) may be required for secure mounting.
