Want to control your motorized window coverings with just a tap—or even your voice? Meet the SelectConnect Smart Home Bridge. It’s the secret to syncing your blinds and shades with your smartphone for simple, hands-free operation. Let’s walk through everything you need to know to get connected.
What is the SelectConnect?
The SelectConnect Bridge is a smart home hub that connects your motorized blinds and shades to your smartphone. Once paired, you can enjoy remote control, voice commands, scheduled movements, and full app control—whether you’re at home or away.
What app does the SelectConnect use?
The SelectConnect Bridge works with the Bond Home app. Just scan the QR code on the box sleeve or inside the box to download it, then follow the simple steps to get started.
How do I set up the SelectConnect Bridge?
It’s easy! Here's a quick step-by-step:
- Plug the SelectConnect Bridge into an outlet using the included adapter.
- Download the Bond Home app by scanning the QR code on the packaging.
- Create an account in the app (note: one account per bridge).

Does it work with smart home systems like Google Home or Alexa?
Yes! The SelectConnect Bridge integrates with:
- Amazon Alexa
- Google Home
- Samsung SmartThings
- IFTTT
- Control4
- Savant
Just a heads-up: SelectConnect is not compatible with Apple HomeKit at this time.
Can I use voice control with the SelectConnect?
Yes! You can control your shades using voice commands—but you’ll need a compatible smart home device, like an Amazon Echo or Google Nest speaker. To get started, you’ll first need to set up your SelectConnect Bridge in the Bond Home app, then link the app to your smart home system.
Once connected, you can use voice assistants like Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, or Samsung SmartThings for hands-free control of your blinds and shades.
What SelectBlinds products work with the SelectConnect?
SelectConnect works with most of our motorized products. However, it’s not compatible with:
- SelectBlinds Automation Products (They only connect to the SelectBlinds Automation Bridge)
- Motorized Panel Tracks
- Wand or Pull Wand Motorized Products
- Motorized Top-Down Bottom-Up Cellular Shades
If you’re unsure whether your product is compatible, just ask—we’re happy to help.
How many blinds and shades can one bridge control?
Each SelectConnect Bridge can control up to 30 individual window coverings. Have more than 30? No problem—you can add a second bridge in the app for seamless control across your home.
Do I still need a remote if I’m using SelectConnect?
Yes. You’ll need the remote to complete the initial setup of your motorized blinds or shades. Each product must be installed and connected to its remote before pairing with the app to ensure everything works properly.
Also important: If you ever want to adjust the upper and lower stopping points (also called "limits") of your shades, you’ll need to use the remote. These settings cannot be changed through the Bond Home app.
Where do I find the QR code for my product?
You’ll find your product-specific QR code in your order confirmation email. Can’t find it? Reach out to our Customer Care Team—we’ll get you the right code.
Does the SelectConnect require Wi-Fi?
Yes, you’ll need a 2.4 GHz or 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi connection to set up and control your shades through the app. If your Wi-Fi goes out, don’t worry—your scheduled automations will still run as the SelectConnect stores commands locally.
What’s the range of the SelectConnect?
The SelectConnect works best within 150 square feet. For larger homes or multi-level spaces, we recommend one bridge per floor to ensure reliable coverage.
Can I see the battery level of my shades in the app?
Not at this time. The Bond Home app does not display battery levels for individual window coverings.
