Are you products the same quality as major brand names?

What is the difference between different Roman shades?
The main differences between our Roman shades are the colors, patterns, and materials (such as polyester, cotton, etc.). Some lines also offer motorization and smart hub upgrade options, along with unique features to suit your decorating needs.
What is the difference between exterior solar and interior solar shades?
Exterior shades are installed outside your home, such as in a patio area. They come with specialized hardware designed to withstand the outdoor elements. Interior solar shades, on the other hand, use standard mounting hardware for installation inside your home.
What is the difference between inside and outside mount?
An inside-mounted window covering attaches within the window frame, sitting flush with the wall. An outside-mounted blind or shade attaches outside (often above) the window opening and extends beyond the wall or door.
What are faux wood blinds made of?
Faux wood blinds are made from either a composite wood material or PVC/vinyl.
Which shades are the most energy-efficient?
Cellular shades rank the most effective in terms of energy efficiency.
Do we have "R" values on our products?
We do not maintain specifications for the R-values for our products.
What are cellular (or honeycomb) shades made of?
Cellular, or honeycomb, shades are made from soft spun polyester lace.
On my cellular shade order confirmation, what do SC and DC mean?
SC stands for single-cell, and DC stands for double-cell. Cellular shades are available in both single-cell and double-cell construction. The "honeycomb" cells provide energy-efficient insulation by blocking heat in the summer and trapping warmth in the winter. Double-cell construction offers an additional layer of insulation, providing even greater energy efficiency.
Do you offer cellular shades with 1" or less depth required to mount?
Yes. You can select the "1" or less depth" under the "Specialty" section in the navigation on the left side of the website.
Which cellular shades can be side-mounted?
Side-mounted shades are available, but you’ll need to place your order with our Customer Service Team. The Select and Premier collections are the only cellular shades that can be side-mounted.
For the Select collection, side-mount brackets are available for shades under 36" wide in the motorized wand lift style, or for shades under 48" wide with Cordless Lift & Lock, Cordless Lift & Lock Top Down Bottom Up, or Continuous Cord Loop.
For the Premier collection, side-mount brackets are available for shades less than 48" wide only. You can find the specific product specifications under the "Specifications" tab on the product detail page.

Can we do side mounting on woven wood shades?
No. Woven woods are top mount only.
Is mounting hardware included with my product?
Yes, all necessary mounting hardware will be included with your shipment.
Are colors on product samples accurate?
Due to lighting and the resolution of different laptop or smartphone screens, colors may appear differently. Ordering samples before you buy is the best way to ensure you’re getting the color you want. Additionally, because wood has natural color variations and grain patterns, we cannot guarantee an exact match for our stained wood products. Dye lots change frequently, so there may be slight differences in color even within the same shade. If you’re ordering multiple treatments for the same room, we strongly recommend placing your order at the same time to ensure all items come from the same dye lot and match perfectly
How does cordless lift work?
To operate the cordless lift, simply lift the shade from the bottom to raise it. The Cordless Lift & Lock system features a button on the bottom rail that you press to raise or lower the shade, then release it to lock the shade in place. For roller shades, use the tension to pull them down, set them in the desired position, and release to raise them back up.
How long are the beaded chains on your window coverings?
The length of the continuous cord loop beaded chain is based on the total height of the product and does not exceed 70% of the ordered height. In accordance with National Safety Regulations, chain length cannot be customized.
What color will the headrail be on products that state "color-coordinating" headrails?
Color-coordinated means we’ve selected the closest matching rails to the fabric you’ve chosen. While it can be challenging to match colors exactly across different materials, any slight differences are minimal. For a general idea of color coordination, you can check the main product image, which will update to reflect different fabric colors as you make your selection.
Are blinds or curtains better?
It really depends on where you want to place your window coverings and what you’re hoping to achieve—whether it’s better light control, more privacy, or something else. We offer FREE samples of all our products to help you find the perfect combination of product, color, material, and openness for your home.

Can I order a size or feature not available on your website?
We strive to offer a wide selection of product sizes, colors and feature options for our customers. If a size is not available to order on our website, it is not available for that product or feature selection. If a lift style (like corded lift) or feature is not available for you to order on our website, it is most likely not available at all. If a color or feature is backordered for a short time, it will reflected as "Backordered" on our website. Occasionally, features and colors will be backordered for an extended time and removed from our website until they are restocked. Feel free to reach out to our Design Consultant team if you have further questions regarding currently unavailable feature selections.
What materials are your products made from?
Most of our shade fabrics are made from polyester for durability, easy cleaning, and fade resistance. Even fabrics with names like “linen” are usually 95%+ polyester. Some solar shades use woven PVC or PVC/polyester blends for added strength and UV protection. The main exception is our bamboo woven wood shades, which are made from natural materials like bamboo, reeds, grasses, jute, and paper.
Our wood blinds and shutters are made from American Basswood or other hardwoods, while our faux wood blinds and shutters are made primarily from PVC for durability and moisture resistance.
How can I narrow down my product options for the size or features I need?
You can quickly narrow down your product options by using filters on our website. Start from the homepage and click the SelectBlinds logo in the upper-left corner if needed. From the navigation menu below the logo, hover over or click Window Blinds & Shades, then select the product category you’d like to browse.
On the category page, click All Filters, located just below the category name, to view all available options. Use the drop-down arrows to adjust filters such as size, feature, light control, and motorization. The size filter is automatically set to 24" x 36", but you can easily change it to your desired measurements. Once you’re finished, click Apply Filters to view products that best match your needs.
