Do you come out to measure or install at my home?
We're a fully online DIY company, so we don't offer in-home services like measuring or installation. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! We provide FREE samples to help you choose the perfect product, color, and material for your home. Installing our blinds is easy, and we include all of the necessary hardware with your order. Most blinds take just 3-5 minutes to install, and we have step-by-step written and video instructions to guide you through the process.
What happens if I mismeasure my windows?
No problem! If you mismeasure, our FIT Protection has your back. When purchased at the time you purchase your product, this option will allow you to reorder your product without an additional charge (unless the size increases). For more details, check out this page here.
How do I measure my windows?
Each product category has specific measuring instructions to make it simple for you.
- For blinds, check out this article.
- For shades, check out this one.
What is the difference between "minimum depth required" and "minimum flush depth required"?
You will find this information in our Specifications tab (toward the bottom of each product page). Minimum inside mount depth is the amount of depth required to securely mount the product inside the window opening. The minimum flush mount depth is the required mount depth needed to install the product and not have it extend outside of the window opening. If you have shallow depth, you would be able to install the product (as long as you have the minimum depth), but part of the item will be protruding from the opening.
Should I deduct anything from my measurement for an inside mount?
No need to worry about deductions. Our production team takes care of it for you, based on industry standards. We recommend you measure your windows without making any deductions yourself, as this could result in a "double deduction" (your own and ours). You can find the specific deductions for each product category here. Still unsure? Reach out to our Design Consultant team, and we’ll help you get it right!
Should I round up or down 1/8" on my window measurements?
When your window measurements fall between eighths of an inch, round down for width and round up for height. For example:
- Width: 30 1/16" → round down to 30"
- Height: 30 1/16" → round up to 30 1/8"
