Make sure your window has enough depth for an inside mount. For more details on the specific requirements, head over to the product’s information page and click on the "Specifications" tab.
Measuring the Width
- Start by measuring the exact width from left to right of the inside edge of the window frame. Measure in three places: top, middle, and bottom.
- Write down the smallest of the three widths.
- For 1/16” or 1/32” increments, round down to the nearest 1/8”. (For example, if the smallest measurement is 24 9/16", round down to 24 1/2". If it's 24 3/8", no need to round down.)
- Use this width when you will order.
Measuring the Height
- Starting from the top and working your way to the bottom, measure the exact height of the window frame in three main places, including the top left, the center, and top right, all the way down to the window sill. If you are measuring patio doors, measure all the way to the floor.
- Use the smallest height out of the three.
- For increments of 1/16” or 1/32”, round down to the nearest 1/8”. (For example, if the smallest measurement is 24 9/16", round down to 24 1/2". If it's 24 3/8", no need to round down.)
- Use this height when you will order.
We’ll handle any necessary deductions based on the measurements you provide, so there’s no need to adjust your own measurements. Don’t add to the width in anticipation of deductions. We’ve got it covered. If you’re looking for more light coverage, consider an outside mount.
Please review the deduction chart below that we’ll use when making your order. You do not need to take any additional deductions.
